What is Spendimo?
Spendimo is a personal expense and income tracker for iPhone and iPad, available on the App Store. Record everyday spending, scan receipts, track recurring bills, and review your monthly totals. It requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. It does not connect to your bank, move money, or set spending budgets.
Can I track expenses without an account or bank connection?
Yes. Everyday tracking, single receipt scanning, basic trends, and CSV export work without an account. Spendimo never asks you to link a bank account. A free account lets you download exchange rates; Pro adds entry sync and partner sharing.
Where are my entries and receipt photos stored?
Without Pro sync, your financial entries stay on your device. Pro sync stores your entries in your account on our server in Germany. Receipt scanning always runs on your device. Photos stay there unless you enable optional Pro receipt sync, which is off by default. Enabling it also uploads eligible saved receipts. Turning it off stops new uploads but does not delete existing server copies; delete the receipt, expense, or account to remove those copies. The Privacy Policy explains backup retention after deletion.
Does Spendimo work offline?
You can add and edit entries, scan receipts, view local trends, and export CSV without an internet connection. Sync and partner updates need a connection. Currency conversion works with rates already saved on the device; downloading missing or newer rates needs a free account and an internet connection. Amounts without an available rate remain in their original currency.
What is free, and what does Spendimo Pro include?
Free includes unlimited expenses and income, single receipt scanning, recurring bills and reminders, basic monthly trends, entries in 31 currencies, and CSV export. Pro adds device sync and backup, partner sharing, advanced insights, PDF reports, bulk receipt scanning, and optional receipt sync. Available plans and subscription prices are shown in the app before purchase.
Do both partners need to pay for Pro?
No. One subscription covers both partners. The Pro subscriber sends an invitation and the other person joins with their own account. You choose which expenses to share and how to split them. Your partner can approve or dispute shared records; private entries and personal totals stay private. Spendimo records the split but does not transfer money.
Can I export or import my expenses?
CSV export is free and includes your expense and income records with their original amounts and currencies, ready to open in Excel or Numbers. CSV import is not available in the first release. An export is a copy for your own records, not a file you can currently restore into Spendimo.
Which languages and currencies are supported?
Spendimo supports English, German, Dutch, and Turkish, plus entries in 31 currencies. Conversion uses European Central Bank reference rates for the transaction date, or the most recent available published rate. Receipt recognition depends on language, layout, and photo quality; always review the extracted details before saving.
Does Spendimo use advertising or track how I use the app?
Spendimo has no advertising networks or behavioral analytics. Receipt recognition and spending calculations run on your device. Apple and RevenueCat handle subscriptions, and RevenueCat provides purchase reporting. Opening the subscription screen contacts those services even when you have not created an account. Our Privacy Policy explains the data involved.
