Less typing, more clarity
Fast, on-device recognition
Spendimo uses Apple’s Vision framework to process your receipts. When you take a photo or choose one from your library, the recognition happens locally on your device. Because it does not rely on a bank connection or cloud processing to read your totals, you can scan and save receipts even when you are offline.
Accuracy depends on the receipt layout, language, and image quality. Spendimo allows you to inspect and correct the recognized details before saving the entry.
Photo sync is your choice
Your data stays yours
Scanning a receipt does not mean sacrificing your privacy. By default, receipt photos stay locally on your device. If you use Spendimo Pro, you have the option to enable receipt-photo sync, which is turned off by default. Enabling this feature uploads new and eligible saved receipts to your account on our server in Germany.
Pro financial-entry sync is separate from photo sync. A synced photo on a shared record can also be visible to your partner.

Frequently asked questions
Does scanning work offline?
Yes, receipt recognition runs locally on your device. You can scan, review, and save receipts without an internet connection. Account sync and partner updates need a connection.
Are my receipt photos uploaded to the cloud?
Photos stay with your expenses locally by default. Pro users can choose to turn on optional receipt-photo sync to back up photos to their account. This is separate from on-device receipt recognition.
What happens if I turn off receipt sync later?
If you enable Pro receipt-photo sync and later turn it off, Spendimo stops uploading new receipts. Turning it off does not automatically delete existing server copies. Delete the receipt, the expense, or your account to remove those copies; the Privacy Policy explains backup retention after deletion.
What languages are supported?
The Spendimo app is available in English, German, Dutch, Turkish, and French. App languages and receipt-recognition support are different: recognition depends on your device’s supported languages, the receipt layout, and image quality. Always check the recognized details before saving.
